Fremont Street Experience
“On my first trip to Las Vegas, my fiance and I visited the icon Fremont Street Experience the ultimate leap of love with Slotzilla Zip Line. We decided to go big and ride the zoomline – jumping off the 12-story slot machine-themed platform that we flew under the iconic Viva Vision canopy. With the concert above us and the crowd below, there was nothing like the thrill of floating down Fremont Street and feeling the electrifying energy emanating from the crowd below. ”

“In college, a couple of friends and I drove from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to see the magazine we’d made roll off the press for the first time. I remember standing in the huge facility and indulging how all of our hard work and late nights had led to this incredibly exciting moment. I had lived in the suburbs for most of my life, where people valued paths in life that felt safe and predictable. But lie in bed that night The Venetian ResortI started thinking about how the people in this vibrant desert city were the opposite. They embraced bold ideas and big dreams. High risk, high reward, One person reminded me of it. It was then that I made the decision to put my nerves aside and pursue a career in publishing no matter where it led. “

Caesars Palace
“The year I turned 21, my grandparents took me with them Caesars Palace. The first trip to Las Vegas was a rite of passage in my family. We ate in the historic Bacchanal Room [now no longer around, though the name is now resurrected in Bacchanal Buffet]. We went to VIP Super Bowl parties, had a birthday drink in Cleopatra’s Barge, and made countless memories together. Those early days at Caesars left me with an appreciation for the luxurious side of Las Vegas that can still be found there. ”

The Beatles LOVE Theater
“Last summer, hours after arriving in Las Vegas from New York City, my family and I were the focus of Cirque du Soleil’s Tribute to the Beatles, aptly named LOVE – – One of the best live performances we’ve ever seen. The choreography, costumes, music, staging and all of the art were downright fascinating. I forgot how eternally relevant the Beatles are. The performance came at a time when I was particularly discouraged by the state of the world. The evening caught my imagination – and that of my 8- and 14-year-old children, who watched with open mouths as acrobatic dancers brought timeless texts to life and helped us all escape the everyday. Vegas gave me a new opportunity that evening. We left the theater with souls on fire through the simple mantra that all you need is love. Our two week vacation through the southwestern desert couldn’t have started better than when we sat in awe in the theater The mirage, soon drive along Route 96 and look back lovingly yesterdayto quote McCartney. “

“On a recent visit, after seeing one of my favorite country brands on The Chelsea Within The cosmopolitan of Las VegasA friend led me into a smaller room with a full band in the middle of the stage. I looked at him as if to ask: “Another concert?” and he said, “You will see.” When the curiosity of our intimate audience peaked, the same lead singer went out and started playing a private show. I will never forget that night – the dancing, the smile and the sense of closeness that is nurtured by singing along to our favorite songs. ”

“Every year I go out for a long weekend with some of my closest friends who each live in a different city. We come from San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego and New York City together. This year we chose Vegas because it is so easy for everyone to get to and it was the best decision ever! We booked a suite in Encore at the Wynn This allowed the four of us to sleep comfortably in the spacious room, and it was a luxurious but low-key base to return to at the end of each day. We loved every meal from Yardbird for brunch too Lotus of Siam and Esther’s kitchen for dinner. During the day we relaxed in the sun with cocktails in the Container park in the city centerand treated ourselves to an afternoon Canyon Ranch Spa + Fitness. It was so much more than a girls weekend. Protecting this time despite our busy lives together is a courageous act that keeps our friendship alive. ”

Las Vegas Convention Center
“I drove from LA to Las Vegas International Pizza Expo In the Las Vegas Convention Center. I ended up meeting a guy named Nino Coniglio, a big pizza delivery guy from Brooklyn. A week later, I moved to NYC with him! Two years later he suggested me at the same fair! In front of hundreds of people! I’m pretty sure he planned it out the day before and found the ring at a local Vegas jewelry store. I couldn’t have imagined it was more perfect. ”

The book in the LINQ
“Every year, I go to Vegas with my high school friends for Martin Luther King Jr.’s weekend. We’ll watch the NFL playoffs, have at least one nice dinner, and reconnect. It’s a great tradition and a way to keep in touch with old friends. This last trip helped me through a difficult time. I got divorced last September and it was so nice to experience this camaraderie and just feel normal again. We saw the game for The book at the LINQ and ate at the Courtyard house in the LINQ Promenade. With all the changes in my life, it stays the same. My friends are always there. We’ll always have Vegas. ”
